Geneva, Switzerland – Sri Lanka participated in the inaugural United Nations Global Dialogue on AI Governance this week in Geneva, joining governments and international stakeholders to discuss the future of artificial intelligence governance.
The discussions focused on strengthening international cooperation, promoting digital inclusion, and ensuring the responsible development and use of AI. The dialogue also explored the need for common global approaches to address the opportunities and challenges presented by artificial intelligence.
The event marks a significant milestone as the first universal, UN-led platform dedicated exclusively to international cooperation on AI governance, established by the United Nations General Assembly.
Sri Lanka’s participation reflects the country’s commitment to engaging in global efforts to help shape responsible and inclusive AI policies for the future.
