Praveena Perera Makes History as First Sri Lankan Woman on Campaign APAC’s 40 Under 40 List

Praveena Perera has made history by becoming the first Sri Lankan woman to be named to Campaign Asia-Pacific’s 2026 “40 Under 40” list, which recognises the region’s most influential emerging leaders in marketing, media, technology and communications.

Perera, who serves as Associate Vice President and Client Services Director at MullenLowe Group Sri Lanka, was selected following a rigorous evaluation by senior industry leaders and Campaign Asia-Pacific’s editorial team.

Reacting to the achievement, Perera described the recognition as a significant milestone in her professional journey, attributing the honour to the support of her colleagues, mentors and family. She also expressed hope that her achievement would inspire more Sri Lankan women to pursue leadership roles in the communications industry.

Perera currently leads the Unilever Sri Lanka portfolio at MullenLowe Sri Lanka, overseeing 27 brands across four product categories. Her leadership has contributed to several major industry achievements, including MullenLowe Sri Lanka being named Creative Agency of the Year at the Campaign Agency of the Year Awards 2025.
